where juniors become seniors
With over 80 junior teams, FQPL senior Men's and Women's teams, South Coast Community senior teams, dedicated Female Football and Girls United programs, and Accessible Football Program, Palm Beach Soccer Club takes great pride in the development of players at all levels and provides opportunity for everyone to play the sport they love.
DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL - JACK SOUTHWELL
Palm Beach Soccer Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Jack Southwell as our new Director of Football and Operations.
Jack takes on a key leadership position within the Club as we continue to develop our football program, strengthen our operations and build for the future.
The creation of this role represents an important step forward for Palm Beach Soccer Club as we continue to develop a unified football structure, stronger operational systems and clear pathways for players and coaches from Miniroos through to senior football.
Jack brings a diverse football background across academy development, coach education, talent identification, performance analysis and football operations, including experience with the Manchester United Foundation, Wrexham AFC Foundation and Chelsea FC Foundation. He has also served as Head of Academy and Coach Educator with Football Queensland and has worked internationally in talent identification with the Samoa Football Federation.
Jack brings a strong focus on coach development, having delivered coach education for Football Queensland and Football Australia.
Jack will play an important role in developing Palm Beach Soccer Club's 3–5 year football strategy, with a focus on player and coach development, competitive performance, sustainable growth and strengthening the Club's position within Queensland football.
Working with our Technical Directors, coaches, committees and volunteers, Jack will lead the development and implementation of the “Palm Beach Way” – a consistent football philosophy, playing identity and player development methodology across the Club.
We believe Jack's combination of football development, coach education, talent identification, high-level academy experience and operational leadership provides an excellent foundation for the next phase of Palm Beach Soccer Club.
Most importantly, Jack shares our ambition to create an environment where players can develop, coaches can grow and everyone involved in Palm Beach football can work towards a common vision.
Please join us in welcoming Jack Southwell to Palm Beach Soccer Club and wishing him every success in his new role.
Welcome to Palm Beach, Jack!
